Freshwater Rock?

Hi,
I have a ton of "live rock" which has been in boxes for 3 years. Could I use this in a freshwater tank and then later use it in a saltwater tank? Of course it would all be super cleaned before each use.

Thank you
Viv

As long as you don't use copper to treat your freshwater tank. I'm sure there are other chemicals that can be soaked up by the rock and then leached into a reef tank... but copper seems to be the big one

Sure...the rock is just a surface to give bacteria a place to live..
