Smile Maxspect Sale for Black Friday

Just wanted to let everyone know that Marine Depot and Bulk Reef Supply have 20% off the Maxspect Ethreal and Gyres today!! Not sure how long the sale will last. Just ordered twin Ethreals for my tank and I can't wait to put them on! Wooohoo!!

I'm thinking real hard about a pair of gyre 250's for my 120. The price makes it very tempting. I'm just not too sure I want them on the sides - I'd rather put them on the back on either side of my center overflow, but my return comes in on one side about 3" below the surface.

I hear ya. I haven't switched because of something similar to that. Still plugging away with some vortechs here.

Bill, put them on the back wall but vertical....maybe. I don't know but I've seen a few ppl use them this way with good success.

Yeah, caught the sale in passing believe it or not. Ended up picking up 1 XF250 for a new build. Thought about two but hopefully one is enough. Peninsula layout is making me bang my head on a wall trying to find a reasonable placement.

Once plumbing and sump is connected and finished I'll do some tests to see how it work.

Yeah, I'm going out on a limb with these. I haven't heard much with regards to reviews. Thinking about making a review thread once I get them in.... ☺ They are quite a bit less expensive than Radions. Seem to be legit but you never know until you try them out. Love the lights in the fan!

Yeah, the sale has been going on for a few days now. Looks like BRS is sold out of most the gyre's, but Marine Depot has some.

Marine Depot Order - Not Happy

I just ordered the Maxspect Gyre xf250 with advanced controller and extra pump from Marine Depot yesterday since BRS was sold out. MD website said they had them in stock in both their East and West Coast locations. I received an e-mail last night stating the items I've ordered have shipped then I wake up this morning to an e-mail stating the pump is on back order. I typically order through BRS because I like their 5x points. Lesson Learned. I can't wait to get my new pumps as I'm currently using the Vortec's now. I'll give an update whenever I receive them.

Happy Thanksgiving!
