Alex,
I love the video! Quick question, I see a yellow wrasse - do you have a cover on this system?

My routine didn't change much. I'm still not using GFO or GAC.......No Carbon dosing, no macroalgae filter..... I just tweak my dosing method due to corals response. Sometimes I increase and sometimes I reduce the dose of some elements. My bottle of lugol's ended and I'll start with AF Iodum and I bought another bootle of AF Strontium and started dosing it again. I think the big change that I will do soon in the tank is to start dosing bacteria from AF, to clean up my glasses a little. The system is getting older and I'm having to clean the glass a little more frequently. So, I think it's time to give bacteria a try. My previous systems always use bacteria (biopellets+Special Blend/Microbacter/Biodigest) This time I want to give AF Pro Bio S a try......but I'm still in doubt about the Carbon dosing method that I'll use. I'm trying to get more accurate colors on videos but I'm still not very satisfied with the results. That "wrasse" is a Yellow coris (halichoeres crisurus) My tank didn't have a lid covering it up. It just have some large (200mm) euro braces on top. So........................I pray.....

Last week, after months hiding in the middle of the corals, my last Chromis was taking refuge in the glass at the back of the tank.
I've seen this behavior before, and I know it's a death row. After 2 or 3 days there, it disappeared. This ends my adventure through the world of shoals in marine aquariums. At least, for now.

Don't feel bad. Other than certain cardinals and grammas, I've never heard of long term success with shoals in home aquarium. Surprised that the last chomis isn't doing well. Usually a group of chomis turns into a battle royal with the last fish standing settling in.

This JF Space Invader pectinia is one of my favorite corals in the tank.
Recently I moved it into a upper spot, to show it of. The improve of PAR makes the green really pop and the yellow eyes turns very bright. Alex

Stunning, Alex!
Amazing conception and design and just beautiful outcome. Try an orange spot sand sifting goby for your sand. They don’t move the sand or spit is on the corals, they just turn it over. The only problem is that they often don’t take well to eating prepared foods.

About the fish, someone told me the same before. I was watching some videos on youtube and it looks the behavior really is a little different from the Gold head sleeper goby, that fills the mouth and swims up in the water column. I must give it a try. Alex

Great move on the diamond watchman goby, Alex. They are great animals.
As Matt suggested, take a look if they eat during feeding as something they arrive late to the party or just do not notice it. We all think our growth is slow as we see the corals every day. Take a break for a month and you will see the difference. LOL |

I think the growth rate is good, but you would get much faster growth if you used T5s.

Well.
The fish (diamond goby) came..........and the fish goes away (to the frag tank) After just one day he started to bury the rocks (and the corals) were he hide below.... I must blow the sand 4 or 5 times a day to clean the corals. Let's go to plan B.

A pleasant surprise at the end of the year.
My friend has a couple of cardinal bangais that spawned a while ago. This week he brought me this pair of juveniles who, to my surprise, were not slow to enter my longspine urchin
