~300G (1125L) Build, pics from last 6 months

When I was moving to a new place I decided to upgrade my reef tank. Or maybe I decided to change a place because I wanted to have a larger aquarium? Who cares

Here’s one of last pics of my old 45G (180L) tank:

The new tank is about 300G (1125L) 60"x40"x30"[H], made from clear glass.

Equipment:
Main pump: Royal Exclusive Red Dragon 8000;
Skimmer: ATI BM 250, about 3 months ago I bought Reef Octopus 5000;
Water movement: Tunze Turbelle Stream 6205 2pcs. + Multicontroller; Wavebox;
Lighting: Sfiligoi 2x400W MH + 4x54W T5 + Moonlight.

Before the tank arrived I had made some preparations.

I bought 80kg of liverock. I picked it up directly from airport so I had to "cure" it. I used a 60G barrel with very strong water movement (2pcs. of Tunze Turbelle Stream 6205) and skimmer. I treated the rock without lighting for one month.

The tank arrived.

Because I live on the sixth flor I had to fight for every single kilogram of weight. That's why I ordered the tank without overflow, wavebox and rim. I had to make these by myself.

Hi snocho, finally i see your tank... great work, my compliments.
I want ask one about wavebox, do you hear a flush noise in your weir?
How do you regulate (seconds) the wave for decrease the noise?
Tnx for support.

How are your angels doing with your corals? I've wanted a flame angel but I'm afraid of the coral nipping

I don't hear a water splash because the water level in overflow is nearly as high as in the tank. When the wavebox pump was new it was quite noisy. After some time in the tank (about 2 weeks) it started to work almost noiselessly. I don't like huge waves in the tank. That's why I set the pump on 12V. You can set 18V and 24V but then you hear the pump. Intervals depends on aquarium length. I don't think you can regulate it if you want get a waving.

All my dwarf angelfish (Centropyge loricula, flavissima, acanthops) ignore corals. Regal angel sometimes nip Tridacna clams. IMO it all depends on feeding. If you can provide regular feeding during the day you can by pretty sure that your corals won't be harmed.
