I want to get rid of bubbles in my display tank.

Looking for ideas that don’t include turning the pumps down as this is a SPS tank. It’s a peninsula and it’s in our foye so visable pumps isn’t an option. It’s a new tank and I’m still working out the kinks.

I got an error trying to play the video...

Are they micro-bubbles? If so, on a previous build I had a strainer inside the return section of my sump screwed into the bulkhead leading to the return pump. The movement of the water through the strainer caused micro-bubbles in my DT (there is a scientific name for the phenomena that I can't remember). Once I removed the strainer, no more micro-bubbles...

They are macrobubbles.

Video doesn't show what powerhead/pump are you using on the back side? Looks to me like it's pointing straight at the front glass? If you angle it towards the surface of your tank it will break the surface rather than the vortex at the front glass.

Look like if you get rid of that vortex your pump is creating the bubbles will be gone.

The pumps are 6 feet away on the other side of the tank, the vortex starts where the stream of water turns down. It’s a pair of tunze 6105s generaly running at about 65% But they are programmed to go up and down semi randomly.

Angle them more to the surface so they break the water before hitting the front glass and it will stop the votex effect.

What cheapreef said. You can even move them down a bit before angling them up.

They are already pointed up pretty high, I'll take a vid this weekend but the surface is more turbulent than pretty much any tank I have seen in my decades of reefing.

however, moving them down and inch or two might be the ticket because the flow on the pump 1/2 of the tank is less than on the far end, considerably less.
