phos. rocks
I have some nice rocks that came out of a very dirty tank, I have them soaking in fresh water and the phosphate test is 3.5. Will all the phosphate ever leach out of them so I can use them?

Use a mixture of 1 to 5 of muratic acid (HCl) to water. Put that in a bucket and wear eye protection and gloves. Soak rocks for 20 mins then rinse and repeat a few times. The HCl will eat the outer layer of the rock away and that is the area where the phosphates collect. After its clean you will need to cycle the rock again in a tub of saltwater and some bacteria.

How much rock and how big of a tank are we talking? So long as the rock isn't leaching out anything "bad" any longer I see no issue in adding it to the DT myself. I wouldn't do more than 20% addition or so though.
