Lets see your dosing containers!
I'm setting up a 60g cube and since space is at a premium in the stand, I'm looking for options to hold my CA/Alk/Mag for dosing and possibly my topoff water. I've come across some nice looking DIY acrylic dosing reserviors. So lets see what you've come up with.

Wow! Nobody has a unique or one of a kind place to hold your dosing fluids? I'm probably just going to make something out of acrylic.

Check out bulk reef supply. I got the thin gallon jugs to fit inside my nano cube 28 stand. I have alk, ca and mg side by side in side. It was nice not having to buy a custom reservoir or taking chances on building one. Sorry no pics.
It's not unique or one of a kind but it was the simpler choice.

That is nice. But I would have made them individually since the rates of consumption will very between them. Great idea. Makes me wish I did not buy my acrylic tubing for my DIY bubble magus dosing containers. But I can find something else for those tubes I'm sure.

That's a nice dosing container. I might try that when I'm getting a dosing pump. Until then... Some simple bottles will do :-)

I once thought I would need to regularly dose Magnesium but have learned my regular water changes were meeting the Mg uptake and wasn't worth the space and expense to automate it. I just manually dose Mg when the testing dictates a need.
The picture posted is a very slick set up but those fill holes allow no room for error. I'd be as nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof filling those compartments... worrying about spillage and cross contamination. They may have plugs/covers but not depicted.

So is it worth having a fancy acrylic dosing container?
I talked to one acrylic fabrication co and they mentioned they can add compression fittings. I'm not sure if this fitting is necessary? If I get a fancy container I'm leaning on only getting one for calcium and alkalinity and do magnesium separate, maybe just from the bottle or manually. |

After trying out various off the shelf containers, I settled on cereal storage containers. I like them because they have a (tight sealing) flip up lid large enough to easily pour in refills and it allows me to leave my rigid dosing tube in place. They also hold more than a U.S. gallon, so it makes it easy to mix up additives. They also can handle the heat generated by anhydrous calcium or microwaved RO/DI (for soda ash).
I drilled a hole in the red portion of the lid (right where the logo is in the photo) and inserted an acrylic tube. The ones I use are identical to these: http://www.amazon.ca/Rubbermaid-1856...cereal+storage Dennis

That's fruity Dennis LOL
The one company I did contact to make the cust container would put a lid on it. I think I need a cust one as my size that I can fit in cabinet would need to be 2.5" x 15" x16" I figured it would hold two fluids. |

I'll play. I ran acrylic tubing and used some fittings to make it "clean" looking. Works well. At first I thought it was totally too big but as my consumption increases, and hopefully all my SPS get to colony size, I think that extra room will help. They hold almost 2 gallons each. I basically was working around the 40BR sump I used, so I made the biggest container that would fit. I can still see through it to see my water levels and marked the glass behind it for reference during water changes. I also attached one of those magnetic holders to one of my sumo baffles so every thing is nice and tidy.
Here it is before set-up. Only using Cal and Alk. I reserved the third for either Vineger (likely) or Mag (probably not). I need to take a current pic to see how it looks today |

Have an acrylic shop build them for you. You can also look around on the web. Synergy Reef has containers to choose from

oh man these are awesome. i've been thinking about this kind of think lately myself. I'd also like to do a skimmate collector too. Probably not in the same container, but i need em both to be pretty narrow and tall. These are like inspiration haha.

I have the BAO containers.
I added the john guest fittings so I could easily remove them to refill/clean etc. They also have float switches hooked up to a BOB on my apex to alert m when they get low.
