Pictures of my 170gallon peninsula...

Just wanted to share..
FTS shot (side facing living room)

Closeup left side

Closeup of center

Closeup of right side

My favorite shot. Looking straight down from the end of the tank!

Same place, but slightly different angle..

Thanks for the kind words! I took the pics using my Iphone and the camera seems to not want to cooperate! ( having mostly ATI blue plus bulbs dosent help either! LOL!) My sister (who is a photographer) is coming to my house soon. I will see if she can take some decent pics of the corals.

Awesome! I'm planning a peninsula too. Do you have pics of your plumbing? I'm curious to see how you did your return plumbing.

Thanks. I wanted an arch that made it look like the corals were "floating" without having to use rock. I ended up using PVC. As the corals grow out and cover the PVC it's starting to look like how I had envisioned it!!

Thanks. The tank is two years old. ( the rock and some of the corals are over four years old, transferred to this tank when I moved and upgraded.)

I was lucky in that on the other side of the wall the tank is on is a small storage closet (in the garage) that I converted into what my wife has dubbed "my coral lab" LOL!! I used my old 100 gallon to build a custom sump that has a spot for frags.
.
In the top left corner of the pic is a 25 gallon plexiglas (online with the display) I plan to turn into a macro algae reef this summer.

I also run carbon and GFO.

I also built my own electrical control box. I can switch components on and off separately as needed. The plumbing is color coded: blue for saltwater supply, yellow for electrical conduit.
