I own a Reefbrite Hybrid Halide with the XHO strips. They are very much Royal Blue.

I apologize Sahin with all the question that I have.

I want to run my B and RB Led's for 2 hours in the morning before anything else comes on. I want to finish out the evening the same way for 2 hours. Exactly as the numbers you gave me for the LED's can you help me with the schedule please. My schedule starts at 10am and ends at 10pm.

No problem buddy. If I am busy I cant answer daily, otherwise I will.

Send me a PM with your email address, number and combo of T5 tubes, and number of clusters and how you would like the lighting times etc and I will email back a custom light profile.

What is the ideal hanging height for the lamp? I have a 27" deep tank. I currently have it 11" above water line.

Also, when adding new corals do I need to dim the T5s for a few days and then raise them up or just decrease photoperiod? If so what do I dim them to?

I believe ATI recommendation is a minimum of 8" above the tank. Have you already burned in your bulbs?

This would be a question better answered by the more experienced T5 users. I have mine 12" above water and while having to bulb burn in limited my T5 usage to 4 hours per day and have seen no ill effects from the corals. I previously used Kessils.

Please Help!!!
I was upgrading the firmware of my fixture and it got stucked on 1% for ten minutes or so, then I pressed cancel...now the controller does not respond, I shut it off and no digits appear in the screen. I can't connect it with the usb cable either. Can someone help me, please.
Thanks in advance

Well, now I can connect the fixture via USB but the lamp is only with 2 led clusters on and the controller screen keeps showing this:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...3/IMG_3997.MOV

I tried to press the 4 outer buttons at a time to reset it to factory setting but the only thing this does is lights all the tubes and leds and when I stop pressing it comes back to only two led clusters. I also tried the button combination that shows in youtube an nothing happens.
At some time the controller is able to communicate with the laptop via USB, but it doesn't load the firmware. It keeps forever al 0% with the loading bar.

Please, if you someone can give me some advice I will appreciate it very much.

Try disconnecting totally from power for at least 4 hours to reset.

I'm happy to say that the problem is solved!!
The issue was that I was using a Mac with Parallels (windows emulator) and it works to set the different programs in the fixture, but it doesn't to install and upgrade the firmware.

Once I ran the ATI Light studio in a Windows computer the system asked me to reset the controller pressing de 4 outer buttons and started loading the firmware.

I have to thank Pablo (Monti) and Tristan Rieger from Ati support in Germany for their advise and quick response.

Tristan told me to download and install the Ati hybrid firmware 1.03 from their website instead of 1.04 from Ati Northamerica. Is there any difference between one and the other?

All this started because I believed the 1.04 solved the problem about turning the clock at 00:00 when a power outage. Is this fixed in the new units? because I received mine two weeks ago and it keeps doing it.

The usb is connected directly to the computer

For others that may see this thread, I was able to upgraded the firmware using Parallels with no problem.

8-12inches above waterline is fine.

When adding new corals you should start them off on the sand anyway to prevent light shock. After a week you can place them higher up. You can of course dim the fixture down by around 25%...but end of the day, it all depends on the sort of light levels the corals came from.

r33fswagg3r:
I sent you a light profile. NOTE: the hours of light is very long. You can see what I created for you. But I highly recommend you amend the light profile and reduce the T5 intensity to around 60%.

I'm glad you did, maybe I own an older parallel version but I've tried many times with no success.

I have a slow LED ramp up from 7 am to 11 am (sunrise effect) when my T5s come on. My LEDs stay on till 11 pm. T5s off at 7 pm. I have the LEDs ramp up to 10% from 7 am to 10 am then to 40% at 11 am. Is that slow enough? The only problem is I can't see the tank well before I leave for work at 8 am when the LEDs are probably 3%. Can I increase the intensity some more? Also what colors should I be using for the ramp up? I currently use the royal blues only.

I've been thinking about selling my 48", 8 tube model to upgrade. Shoot me a pm if you're interested and we can discuss.
