Question 90G- fish list...

Okay, so this is my first try at a fish list for my new 90g. I have NO IDEA how many fish can be put into a 90g so I'm looking for some help here.

1- yellow tang
1-small blue tang ( I know I will have to rehome him once he gets big)
2-PJ cardinals
4- blue reef chromis
1-Royal Gramma
1- firefish

Too many fish? Will they all get along? Who should be added first/last?

Thanks,
Deanna

Looks fine. Those Regal Tangs grow quick though. You have a bunch of options for a Blue Fish that you could house for the entirety of the fishes life.

Out of all those fish I'd add them in this order:

Firefish
Cardinals
Chromis
Gramma
Yellow Tang
Blue Tang

sounds good yes, no problems, and the order amoore suggests is good too, maybe even throw a six line wrasse in the tank after the gramma

Thanks guys. I've been fretting over this list for months now and I'm happy I'm on the right track! I've thought long and hard over the blue tang but realized that I won't ever be happy with my tank if I don't at least try to have just one...even if it's not long term. Good idea about the 6 line though. I have one in my 29g BC and love him....such a great little fish. Do you think it would be possible to do 6 Blue chromis without overstocking my tank?

Deanna

I don't think 6 blue chromis would be overstocking, but from everything I've heard, they will kill each other off over time.

Yeah Chromis and Anthias always seem to knock each other off. You could give it a try though, they are cheap lol. Stock limit wise they don't add much to bioload. Just don't go nuts feeding them (they will always looks "hungry" regardless of how much you feed lol).

I feed my fish once every other day (homemade mix). The tangs get Nori in the morning every day though.

Gosh, I'm an expert in "starving" fish...just ask my 2 clowns. No matter how much and how often they get fed, they are always starving! They all but jump out of the water when I open the top to feed them!
