Coralline Algae?
Hey guys, noob here. I purchased live rock from multiple LFS' in hopes to increase my biodiversity. I purchased a piece of live rock thinking it was covered in coralline algae. However, I'm not so sure anymore... it's drastically different in color than my other rock and it seems to be falling/pealing off the rock..? Please help

Looks like some type of purple dye to me. I have never seen coralline peal off.
