New Bubble King Owner - Need Help

Just installed a new (to me) Bubble King Super Marine 250 Internal on my new tank build. Tank is brand new just started cycling this morning (which is hopefully my issue).

I plugged in the BK250 and it is overflowing the cup. This is my first BK, and there is no manual anywhere that I can find, so I'm not even sure if I have this thing hooked up properly?!?! Tried twisting the air intake, raising it, lowering it, etc... not any help.

Can anyone walk me through the set-up? Seems simple enough, but what do I know?

Could it be overflowing simply because it's a brand new tank? It's sitting in roughly 10" of water. Is that too deep?

I am using the BK Siupermarin 200 Internal and it took 8 days for it all to get stable and performing correctly.

For breaking in I used the stand-pipe/wedge pipe at maximum opening and the air venturi on the pump at the factory setting (two dots aligned)

My skimmer is in 8.5 inches of water....(BK recommend 20 to 25 cm)

Now all is sorted out it is working like a champion !!!

As a matter of interest, when I began the break-in process, I eyeballed the venturi tube to fully open and made a mark on the tube and a corresponding mark on the housing. When the break - in had finished and I was making foam, I wanted to get the phase transition at about the junction of the cone and cup...this for a foam that was the right consistency. In my case, this required the venturi tube to be closed a further 90 degrees or so.

I did not change the air intake settings. After experimenting, I found the factory setting which is fully closed , then open until the dots align, (about 3/4 of a turn open) gave the best performance.

Once you get it dialled in, you will have one heck of a skimmer...(so we should, at that price !!!!!!!!!!!!)

Tagging along since I have a new (to me) supermarin 200 with the same problem until I adjusted the water level. Is there a manual to this model?
