Ya this is perfect weather. Fall is coming. Not sure the exact spot they rolled up to. It has been a pretty hardy sps and they are super sweet when it comes to color.

Its funny. Due to lighting the right side of the tank is deffinitly the photo-genic side.

I really like how this turned out. I think the combo will look good when it grows in.

Sunken crocodile skull zoa garden. The rock work in the lower right corner looks like a broken down crocodile skull with the cave as the mouth. Turned out pretty cool.

These are some morph zoas I have been growing out. Came from the meeting of Bam Bam zoas and radioactive ddragon eyes. They're pretty sick n I still have a bunch on the colony rock just wanted to see what they would do solo. Im especially fond of the single white zoa in the center with the green mouth and orange lash's. That bad boy will be a keeper if it can grow a twin. Was actually thinkin about cutting him off n growing him out alone.

I had to get at least one more and take my chances with some reproduction. These things are sweet looking. Ill have to keep a close eye on them. As of now they are segragated on the sand bed in a mound-work of LR rubble.

I'm not bashing, but I took a walk through this build from page 1 until now. At some point, did you deviate from the original goal of the design.
I'm into Bonsai. Been doing it 15 years. It's a fun hobby that works well with this one. I even accepted the idea of what you were shooting for, but I'm lost in where this is going? Please don't take offense. I am trying to understand your vision. Is it a series of corals on table top reef structures that are kept small in size? Or table top structures that emulate the pads of an old bonsai tree in form? |

Haha. By now brother it is easy to not be offended. I see where you are coming from. The vision has changed a bit. Very observant move on noticing. Actually wanted to change the thread name with a "to be" after bonsai or something totally different. In the end I was going for a large bonsai look. With acro's on LR rubble pieces placed on the shelves for hieghtth and depth to the piece. The 3 shelves to the left when grown in should resemble an outstreched branch. Everyone looks singley at each shelf. You gotta see the bigger picture with corals rolling together as an end result. In most cases we can't tell how things are going to look in the end but it is a picture in my head I am following. You have to picture the structures together as a whole which is hard to see right now. I also have decided to add depth in places you can't see in the photos with new structure depth which in the end will be deviated from my original plan but I like it there is one bonsai thread that is most of our inspiration in this direction and though his rock structure was sick..it didn't take on the bonsai look until it grew in and now ......holy crap. What an awsome tank.
So in the end yes. I have steered a bit from my original idea. I think I personally like it better this way for my own asthtetic.

Oh I missed that. In the begining it was set to be a series of pads/shelves blended together to make the overall structure of an untamed bonsai. Not bonsai corals I say let um grow big n strong
