Custom Wav mounting

I was wondering if the magnets that hold the Neptune Wav in place are safe to be submersed in water? I am building a 230 gallon peninsula and am trying to figure out how to mount a pair of these at the far end of the tank, opposite of the overflow or in the corners of the tank?
