The reason I asked is that I see some DIY threads, authors like to tweak the ELN Meanwell drivers to 1A and thus the total power is no longer 3W each XP-E or XP-G. Unfortunately, many readers will assume, say, 24pcs of Cree XP-E DIY is 72W(as most called them 3W LEDs) and wrongly compared to the light they replaced in terms of efficiency and other aspect of stuff.

Correct 3 watt is the classification. An XP-G running at 1.5A has a foward voltage of a little over 3.5v thats 5.25 watts! But the same LED at 350mA is only 1.05 watts.
