The choati was out from around 9:30am-5:30pm today, I weren't home during those time on weekdays, so he might had been out throughout the day, just that I didn't see him. He came out for about 15mins again at around 8:30pm. Fed him 3-4 times today, and he's eating very well.

i have a 220gal /w 5inch of sand and fuge i wanted to add some leopard wrasses and wanted to know if they needed to be added one at a time in any kind of order to keep the fighting down or should i add them all at once?
the ones i was looking at are:
Macropharyngodon negrosensis
Macropharyngodon bipartitus
Macropharyngodon meleagris
Macropharyngodon geoffroyi
I was thinking of going to try to get them in groups of 3 as females

right now all i have in the tank is
Tomini Tang
Sailfin Tang
Black and White Ocellaris
Ocellaris Clownfish
Foxface Lo
3 Green Chromies

After one week in QT with Prazipro, the Choati is adjusted to the light schedule better and will stay out for more than 8hrs. It's eating PE mysis aggressively 2-3 times a day, so I decided to move it into my 185gal display late last night. It went straight into the sand, hope it will adjust to the new tank quickly.

Just found this thread. I keep A couple leopard wrasses in my tank, one of each. Potters, Meleagris, choati, and black leopard wrasse. All are doing fine eating pellets, flakes and any frozen I put in except for the choati. It only eats live misys shrimp. I try to get it to eat the frozen kind but he won't even look at them. How did you guys get them to take the frozen foods.
Thanks

Have you try PE Mysis? Most wrasses seem to love PE Mysis.

to switch him over i have always mixed live brine to induce the eating and then adding some of the PE mysis . the choati's are very difficult to say the least and i wish you the best . try to keep your paramiters as stable as possible as the choati's are very sensative to changes in your water IMO .

I got a Macropharyngodon negrosensis a couple of weeks ago. I have had the acclimation box lid open the last 2 days... I guess she likes her box better. She's gobbling mysis. Her buddies are waiting, a Male blackspotted and Female Potters.

I've had a male for 3 years, and he only eats rods foods, and copepods. Actually I've been trying to catch him because he keeps harassing my clowns, 29gbio which is probably why.

BeanMachine, maybe he like the closet effect of the acclimation box,lol . seems odd but it is odd for him as he has just been removed from the ocean so give him some time to figure it all out .

Over the past several months I have been on the lookout for a Potter’s Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon geoffroy). I very much enjoy the wrasse family and more specifically the various leopard wrasses. I have had good luck with my Blue Star Leopard Wrasses (Macropharyngodon bipartitus) and take that as a sign that my tank is hospitable for leopard wrasses. So, after looking at the local fish stores and reading each Diver’s Den Sneak Peek email for a couple months the Diver’s Den had one. I made sure to purchase the Potter’s Wrasse as soon as it was made available on the website.

I picked the fish up this morning at the local Fed Ex facility. This is the second time I have ordered from Diver’s Den (the first time I got a pair of beaked leather jackets, Oxymonacanthus longirostris) and for the second time I am very happy with how Diver’s Den conditions and ships their fish.

The potter has been out all morning and is now eating nutramar ova and cyclopeeze.

Anyways, I snapped a couple pictures and took a quick video. I have the lights dimmed to allow the fish time to settle in so the image quality suffers a bit.

LA ships direct from the wholeseller. DD holds their fish for a few weeks before selling.

Looks like I will have to be extra quick on Diver's Den now that I know I have some competition for leopard wrasses. Just kidding, it will be awhile before I add any more.
