PPW go out of commission quickly.. I think I know why, it's because it needs a stopper/spacer to stop the wheel / impeller magnet from popping in and out and prolonged rattle is stressing the key way, upon restarting. I try to not turn off my skimmer unless absolutely required.. I asked the manufacterer to consider making a little spacer but no luck, but it may cause the wheel to not start more often, who knows. However performance is GREAT.

Since the WM red demon appears to have longer spokes this should be similar to having a stopper.. Of course this is pure speculation, it can't be worse.

PPW problems:

From this picture taken from the 1st page, I am also hoping the longer "neck" of the WM wheel to relief our skimmers from starting problems as it is that tiny bit of clearance that might help to prevent the back of the wheel binding / not starting.

thats what my problem was. they do work great when they are working. i never turn my skimmer off. i have short power outages here for just a few seconds & it stops ppw & wont start back. blowing in airline worked a while. keyway wore out after about 6 months on first & 4 months on second

I have been out of the office for the last few days, but will get tracking tomorrow morning and find out where they're at if not in yet.

Good, Looking forward to a new skimmer.

Red Pinwheels still not in-stock... we'll update once we have them here and ship to Premium Aquatics, hopefully soon.

I have not had any restart issues with the Warner Marine Red pinwheel. All so no popping in and out and no rattle from it.

The delay was unexpected... but we'll have them after Chinese New Year Holiday. But the wait will be worth it everyone...

i think it lasts as long as they want it to.it`s like the whole country shuts down over there. have had to deal with this from china vendors at work.

Well I cheated I got my Red Demon from Jon at RAP but I still have not installed it yet Is there a trick to doing it I have a I-Tech 200 with the Sicce pump. I did buy my purple impeller here though. PS Jon told me that two of the pinwheels where longer then the others and to just cut them shorter.

How easy is it to replace the stock white one with a new Red Demon pinwheel on Octopus Extreme 200 with a sicce pump?

Thanks. I am a tiny woman with little muscle power. Tools and I don't always get along, either . They like to bite me .

Can I just pull off the white pinwheel from the impellar shaft and put the new one on? I have not figured out how to take the housing apart to get to the pinwheel. I must say that it makes cleaning a bit tough.

You can make a tool to remove the Volute. Jon Warner and I came up with this idea and it will make removing the Volute 100% easier. here is the link.
