I have a 38-gallon reef tank with 60 pounds of live rock. I currently have a scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp and want to add a fire shrimp. Will the two get along, or kill each other?

It will be fine as far as I know. They will most likely stay on opposite sides or in different caves.

Are fire shrimp as active as cleaner shrimp or do they hide in a hole most of the time.

They hide a lot more. Mine still comes out when I feed and they do pick a cave/underhang where they can hang out like normal skunk cleaners, but they are not nearly as "all over your hand" when you're in the tank, etc.
Mine definitely knows I'm the one who feeds it though. If I go near my tank he comes out and stares at me. |
