got back my Triton test. Last one was 2015 and showed a tin level of 2.53 ug/l. This one is up to 3.25.

So whatever the source of tin is it is going up. Everything else is in the green.

Oh man thoes are sad pictures! Such nice colonies gone would hurt me for sure. Sad to see it got so bad but man that tank was nice! I can't wait to see what you do this time around! I wouldn't worry about aefw, I doubt they would do any damage like that. Normally they take a while to kill a colony and the living parts do not look that nice when they heavily infested. Have you thought about switching to a calcium reactor?

The only thing I have found to stop stn like that is constant clipping of the infected acropora colonies so they bacteria killing the coral off stays out of the tank as much as possible. ithat and iodine dips before putting the healthy parts of the colonies back and starting to use kalk instead of three part. I forget where I read about using kalk to help fight bacteria infections in acros but it seemed to help things slow down for me. Good luck!

well I never found the issue from the 1st flash years ago that has required me to do weekly water changes. I needed to stop the water changes to fight the dino. so there is no chance of recovering until I begin them again. Since of course having that old issue, I may just start over and even replumb the system. swap out all the components etc... not sure.

right now I switched back to peroxide and started back up on the water changes.

Even the dead things can attest to your level of success in reefing. Well failure as well.

Well I decided to make a change. Fish are in the frat system. Lights out in the DT. Going to build a new fiahroom (closet) directly under the tank. Ran most of the plumbing before I built this system 8 years ago. Need to add one more pipe so the DT will get drained. Moved and replumbed after it goes back. But need to finish the fish room. Also want to build a new hood.

have you thought about sending a freshly mixed batch of saltwater out for testing? If the tin in that is near 0 you could at least rule out your RO and salt as causes of your problems, at least assuming tin is the issue.

I have long since changed salts. and I am not planning on spending $50 a pop hunting down the source of tin when my tin is way lower than others triton reports I have seen. If it keeps going up, then I may do that.

Starting on the electric.

I figures I would leave the ceiling open so I can stash items between the joists

Glad to see your getting something going. You know I was having issues for about a year and I ended up just letting things go and stopped water changes. It's been about 7 months and I think things look better than ever.
