Any reefer in or near orange County willing to donate or sell cheap frags to me?
So, I am currently on shore duty and going to go to sea in a year and a half. I just recently set up a 24gal tank. My family loves the tank but does not share the enthusiasm of the hobby like I do. My plan is to make an awesome tank full of life, this will force them to take care of it when I am away. However, I just recently had a baby and money is tight. Prices at Lfs is too crazy, and even Craigslist prices are crazy. I don't particularly care about the named corals nor am I worried about specific colors and stuff. I just want a diverse colorful reef full of life. If anyone can donate or sell for cheap I would really appreciate it. They don't even have to be mounted on plugs or anything. Freshly broken off is cool or mounted on rubble is cool too. I mount my corals directly on the rock when I get home anyways. I will be on baby leave until Thanksgiving. Thanks for your consideration.

I am in Orange County every 2-3 weeks to clean my tank.
I have a red gorgonian frag I could give you. The down side is it is non photosynthetic so it needs to be fed... and it's ideal location is in a low-light area so algae doesn't grow all over it. |

That would be cool. How often does it have to be fed? I have low light areas but do they need flow? My low light area is like a cave so not a lot of flow there.

K so I did some research on the gargonian and I don't think my tank is suitable for it.
