Entertainment For Mantis Shrimp

Am I the only one that feels like they should be putting activities in the tank for your mantis shrimp to do for fun? lol

I was wondering if any of you put things in your tank for the mantis to entertain itself? Like putting a small rubix cube for them to solve or putting colored rocks in the tank for them to put around their space.

I also want to put things in the tank to see what they will do with it. Do you mantis shrimp owners have any suggestions of what I can put in my tank for my mantis to "play" with?

I just add handfuls of snails and hermit crabs every other week.

I've seen videos of people putting multi-colored dice in the tank. Anything bright and colorful might become a "toy" of sorts. I usually just feed live food and that brings out my Peacock's playful side, haha.

I sometimes leave mine a few sudoku puzzles to solve although I find the larger species to be more a fan of crosswords to be honest

My LFS just got in tennis ball size turbos.

I put 3 in on Friday, I've been hearing them get hit every once in awhile. So far so good though.

Just don't let them near your phone! They could run up a bill with those help lines!

Fwiw, it's interesting to put my iPhone into selfie mode and put it up besides the glass like a mirror.

Lol I sometimes put the NY Times in a bag and put it in his tank for him to read the headlines. Gotta keep my guy informed.

90 gal tank. Not really worried. He's only ever hit the tank once and it was because my son was sticking his fingers on the glass.

Probably some sort of twisty baby toy would interest a mantis, and they could chop/poke/bash it all they wanted.
Also, if you have a mantis that eats frozen, it might be interesting to give it one of those dog toys that holds onto the food until they figure out how to get it out.

Lol.

My G. Chiragra is very into phones and even comes out of his burrow to watch the tv when I play xbox. He prefers Fifa over shooting games. Lol
