Tunze Skimmers
I am looking for a new skimmer for my 75 (heavily stocked with SPS/LPS coral and lightly stocked with fish).
My beef with current skimmer is that pump is unreliable. I see that Tunze has 2 skimmers: Tunze Master DOC Protein Skimmer 9410 and Tunze Comline DOC DC Protein Skimmer 9012 But I have seen ZERO about them on RC. I'd love to have a Tunze pump powering my skimmer because they appear to be foolproof. Is anyone using one of these skimmers? If so, can you share your experience? Do you think either of them would be suitable for my 75? Thanks, Mike |

9410 is good for sump mounting. The 9012 needs a high water level like all comline skimmers. You don't see a lot of posts because those that have them don't have any issues. An they are not the new hottnest. Tunze makes great reliable pumps and that means they make good skimmers. I have had a Tunze skimmer running for 20 years now. Keeps on working.
