Coral identification wanted
I purchased this as a gonipora/flowerpot coral but it doesn't look much like the previous one I had. Unfortunately if it is in fact it hasn't opened anymore than this so I am unsure. There seems to be a lot more flowers than my previous one especially for as small as it is.

I guess there must be variations in them.

Only color variation. They need moderate flow so if there is too much flow they could close up

I can't count the number of tentacles in that picture, but Goniopora have 24 tentacles, Alveopora have 12.

Some gonis have shorter polyps, others have micro “flowers.” They vary in appearance quite a bit. I have a few and they’re all different.
