New 280 build stand
Finished the fabrication of the stand for my new build this weekend, 84" long by 32" wide by 30" tall. Need to grind the welds and put some paint on it. The stand is 2" x 2" 11 gauge square tube. I just free wheeled the design based on what I saw in the steel stand thread but added a 45 degree gussets on the top outside corners. I could still add to it if needed so I am seeking opinions on the design.
Still trying to figure out where to get the tank from. Got quotes from four different places but it is all too much. Probably if there were less options it would be easy. |

In his case any one or all of those could be removed if need be, without compromising structural integrity. |

I plan on two corner overflows so it shouldn't be an issue.
As to the design I guesstimate 2620 to 3000 pounds on the weight so I added the corner gussets to stop side to side flex. I saw a CAD model by someone else that showed a stand moving side to side. I was tempted to add even more as I have enough steel to do it. |

That is more then strong enough to handle double the weight.
