Nyos Quantum 160???

I saw a few people post about this skimmer in 2015 but havn't seen any updates since then. Does anyone have any reviews of how it's been working in the long run? Would this be good for a 150 total volume tank? Whats the ideal sump level etc. or any other info?

thanks

Hi Campo,

I have this skimmer on a 75G tank and it works well. I have a couple small issues with it, but nothing big. Mine starts up each time, which is great. And it pulls a lot of air. Overall I'm happy with it. I would think that it would be WAY too small for a 150 honestly considering I have it on a 75. Do you expect to have a very light fish load? The other option would be the next size up.

But overall a nice skimmer that is pretty well designed. I think you could accomplish the same for cheaper, but I have no regrets with the skimmer after two years. I really don't think much about it as it's worked well for me.

I guess this is why im asking, it says the quantum 160 is rated to up to 250 gallons, and no i dont plan on having a light bioload at all.

Good to know thank you.

Any other comments on this skimmer?
