I am considering switch from BRS GFO to RowaPhos because my tank has high Silicon from recent Triton ICP test and RowaPhos is suppose to reduce silicates in addition to Phosphates whereas GFO will not reduce silicates.

All the GFO product (RowaPhos is GFO) will remove silicate from water once the phosphate is exhausted. This article has more:
