Ideal mounting height for 1 250w mh to cover 36x24

This is going to be the main source of light. I'll probably add some blue leds but for the purpose of this what is the best height to get coverage over a 36x24 tank. Reflector is approximately 20x20. This is a light I've had for a long time and used it on various frag tanks but since this is going on a display tank I only want to make one hood

10" above water should be sufficient
