3rd annual Ft DeSoto Beach Trip- Sat, July 14th
Come join us for a day at Ft. DeSoto's Arrowhead picnic area where we have access to the grass flats, lots of shade and clean restrooms for a day at the beach! The TBRC sponsors this event every year by providing hot dogs and the fixings, sodas, water and juice along w/ also working w/ an FWC volunteer to use their 80 ft seine net to see what we can find in the grass flats. This is a great family event where you can bring your kayaks, snorkel, etc , grab some food and go explore the Gulf.
We will also be inviting the members of the Reef Visions Community to join as we do each year. Cooking starts at 11am, we should be out in the water with the net by 1pm. Anything collected in the FWC net must be returned to the Gulf however there are collection rules that allow folks to keep some critters that they find. I will post those too. Address: 3500 Pinellas Bayway S.,Tierra Verde, FL 33715 Remember that the park admission is $5/carload. |
