What do you use to Adhere Corals?
What does everyone use as a glue or adhesive for new coral additions when placing them on LR?? I have tried a glue and putty from DFS and neither seem to work well for me, I turn the lights on the next morning and the have come loose or fallen off where they were glued.
Thanks! |

I use the JB Water Weld epoxy and Loctite gel from Home Depot. Make sure to knead the epoxy thoroughly or else it won't set.

Super Glue gel...3 tubes for a dollar at the Dollar Store. 1 tube is enough to glue like 10+ frags.

I ordered the Eco tech on eBay. But like others said you can get the super glue gel at the dollar store as well. I ordered a bunch and got it for cheap since a few friends wanted some as well. $13 for a good size tube of it though on eBay if you go that route.

The best method I ever tried was from a member here by the name of Reefer on a budget.
His method was "frag-a little superglue - small ball of epoxy - a little superglue - rock. It works very well. hth, Sean

How long do you have to hold this together for the glue and epoxy to set?

The sandwich sounds effective but im a dollar store user as well. Sometimes it doesn't work as well but I've had success with 1" frag rocks holding at overhangs with it...a whole tube though but still like. 33 cents.

We use super glue gel for frags and putty for colonies or very large frags.
