Reefkeeper lunar pod port
Anyone probe this?
would like to add colors not available.. kind of assuming its 3.3v w/ minimal current possible 20-40mA think I can use something like these. https://lighthouseleds.com/led-compo...-flat-top.html |

You could always just make that trip a relay instead, since it lighting 2 white/blue LEDs means its at least 3V.

Yea, just trying to help out another poster who needs one extra channel..
If it's like the "lunar module" its a simple $1 set of diodes and a plastic housing which is all they would need.. unf I don't have the unit but seems a direct drive voltage. Just worried about current (constant?) http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2624453 http://www.forum.digitalaquatics.com...opic.php?t=343 Quote:

I could believe they just put some limiting resistor in the module itself. Just to make sure it doesn't draw any more than the micro in the brain box can output... Then the port would just have to expose the Vcc via a digital pin of the micro, and the module would run like any blinking led on an arduino. If they are really fancy its one of the pwm pins (can it dim?).
I would err on the side that its non-limited and could fry the micro without external limiting. At least that way hooking it up wont kill the RK... |

So the ports are fully software controlled and based on software set "function".. BUT ONWARD: Quote:
