That fish is beautiful. Never seen it before but that is awesome. How big is it?

... Size of the Firefish. They might be of the same family.

i hope you have a very good screen top on that tank...beautiful fish...sadly all firefish i have seen are notorious for carpet surfing..

+1 on the screen thing. I have lost so many fire fish to the carpet. Great fish expensive, but worth it. In a nano do not add another fire fish cus helfrichi get territorial.

Thanks for the advice. I built a screen top and where it doesn't quite cover the front due to tank curve I covered that too! There are two snowflake clowns in there and the firefish stays under a coral until the pumps are off. Then he comes out and joins the group during feeding. Otherwise not real social. Really think the flow bothers him.

permilove you'll need a big tank these guys set up territories. They will defend these territories from other fire fish. Similar to purple firefish in that you can add like 6 to a BC but after they get used to the tank they start to fight till one remains. This is different from the white firefish that almost school.

Thank you for telling me this. I literally started shopping after I saw your picture. I'm going to hold off until the next upgrade.

Thanks all for the comments! The body color is much more lavender than in the pic. The actinic portion of the Kessil gave it a much more blue tint. I am taking more pics if anyone interested.
