battery back up

Hello,
Huge thank you to you guys for the battery back up ! worked for over 20 hours on 2 MP40s ! saved my reef and fish, thanks.

but I had a problem with the Fuse ... somehow both Fuses got blown when the power went off ... so the pumps werent working.

I did an old electrician trick to get it working during the power outage we had here in Toronto, but think it would be safer to replace the Fuse now, can you advice the rating ? or is this something special we need to order through Ecotech ?

Thanks again, and looking forward to battery operated heaters from you guys now .

allmost,

So glad to hear everything is alright with your reef! I would recommend purchasing 2 new cables from your local distributor. They are very inexpensive, and always nice to have a spare just in case!

Sorry for the ot post, but I bought a battery backup from a friend of mine that did not come with the fused cables. It came with the regular cables. Will that be a problem?

thanks Alex, will do.

Maximus, I think there were some Issues with those ... heating up or something ... so they changed it. but I see they are $1.5 each so worth getting a couple. FWIW, I ran both of mine with no fuse for the whole time ... stuck a metal piece in there instead of the fuse ... NOT safe.
