Love the tank, but always wondered how you guys with the deep tanks get in there and move things around? Seems like a serious chore to get to the sand bed.

It was nice to see you again at MACNA Dan. Were there any products or services that you are excited about?

I'm excited to follow along in real time and expect to start my own build thread in a year.
Thanks Lubeck! I hope that you get there! Negotiating with the wife on something like this is a huge undertaking. Good luck!

Dan! I was wondering if you can post some of the videos in this thread that aren't on youtube onto youtube. I find it much easier to go to your youtube profile than digging through the various pages to find the videos that aren't posted.

All I can say is WOW, I just read this build from start to finish. I won't get those hours back but it was well worth it. Congrats on the great ecosystem you seem to have setup. Truly amazing.

How many BTAs do you have in there? How do you keep them from killing off your nicer colonies? Tank is absolutely beautiful by the way.

Dan- two questions.

Are you still loving your reef Genesis system?
Are you still running your waste ro water through your skimmer?

Dan has been swamped lately. His tank is doing well and his corals are doing well. I haven't seen photos but Dan and I chat every couple of weeks,

I keep telling him he needs to update, but you know how sometimes 'real' life sucks up all your time and there is no time left for your virtual life.

He'll be back

Del Ozone

Do you have a pic of how you hooked up your Del Ozone generator? I want to get one, but I looks like they are installed with a venture that sucks air.

I know my skimmer sucks air, but I am wondering if it sucks enough. Is it just plug and play? you plug it in and it just works?

TheRuss, The Del Ozone has no restriction. So you can connect your skimmer air intake directly to the Del ozone and it won't hinder the air volume the skimmer pulls in.

I have a small air pump pushing air into my generator.(Ozotech) This boosts the outflow that goes to my skimmer.I am running at 440 ORP.

Wow Dan truly amazing tank. I have been out of the reefing world for awhile and as you may imagine everything has changed. Im glad the miracle mud system is still going strong. I wanted to know how you maintain the Moorish Idol in your tank? Back in my day they were impossible to keep healthy. Any tips on their care you can throw my way? Im getting a 720 gallon tank within a month and will build it up. :-)
