How old is your tank? Limiting the nutrients & time is your best bet IMO. When my tank was first set up I had a ton of these things. Eight years later, not so much. There's still a few here & there, but the population is nowhere near what it was in the beginning.

No they don't feed on the n3 and po4, but they do feed on the algae that feeds on those. Keep your nutrients down and less algae will grow, causing less snails to be able to survive and reproduce. Wrasse often will eat them too, not sure what else will eat them.

Funny, my 6 line and my yellow wrasses were always picking at rocks and I thought they were eating the snails. Maybe the lunare wrasse that I rehomed cleaned them all out before I put those guys in.

Yup I only use Bayer as my coral dip. Doesn't effect them, least not in the strength we use as a coral dip.

It does kill shrimp. Had that kind of experience lately.
Be very careful using this product.
Keep in mind it is not regulated industry and the product may contain just about anything. It contains tee tree oil, which is toxic. What we noticed is that our shrimps developed muscle tremors and died over night.
The crabs are stressed, but steel alive after 4 days. The fish seems to be ok.

Are you saying you dipped your fish and shrimp in bayer?
