What size Sea Swirls? I still have one, 3/4", from my 100 gallon years ago. Under rated product.

I got 4 of those for setting up my 265. Buying a bit at a time over the years has helped spread the costs.

I liked my sea swirl but man it was loud, even after I tried replacing the motor it was still loud.
Great performance, just wish it didnt make such a racket as it rotated. Perhaps the new units have improved on that design |

How come you went with the 1" Sea Swirls?
I would have thought the 1.5" new models would have been better for a tank this large? |

My return pump and plumbing for the sea swirls are 1" too so everything is to scale.

It's been a little while... How is everything coming together? If nothing else, maybe you could indulge us with some more frag/holding tank photos or something?

I have the original one from Leng Sy from my friend Steve Tyree. They are slow growers if it is the original one.

It's the original one. Sanjay received the Leng Sy from Cruz Arias at Elegant Corals. Proof that Sanjay was shipped a frag from Arias can be found on the Authenticated Editions page of reeffarmers.

It's always hard in the hobby to keep these old school coral lines going. With tank crashes and stn and the like these great old corals are hard to find. Mine is a friends SPS tank as my small tank was still new when I received it from Steve. It has doubled in size in a year and is doing well.

Excellent build! Love the time lapse video.
Can't wait to see this tank up and running. I'm also a big fan of the old school sps.

What area of Ohio are you in? I'm in Solon, about 40 mins from the Lear drag swap which I also attended. I'm guessing you are close to the Newport aquarium, been there 2x myself...one of the nicest aquariums for sure. It would be cool to maybe see the tank when it's going someday...maybe ride the harley down there.

Another new arrival. I decided to go with a super-sized carbon media reactor for the big tank. Thanks, Geo's Reef and Premium Aquatics for this gem!
