normally, a UV sterilizer and a cleaner shrimp work as a good band-aid, i cannot disapprove against copper treatment in QT, and 8 weeks fallow DT, but not everyone has that option, if you have no inverts you could dose copper into the DT, but this would leech into rock and silicone, ect. If you do go this route make sure you mention it when you sell the rock or tank, as that would be a pretty horrible buy if looking to add a CUC or any other inverts. Definetly not my first choice.

UV Sterilizer or cleaner shrimp will do nothing, if you really want to treat you will need to remove all fish and treat with either copper or hypo, which isn't really that hard to do.

I'm sure there will be others jumping in here soon telling you to just leave him, and that you'll just stress him out more and to feed with garlic. Up to you...

Well here we go....

I would take a wait and see approach. Ich is NOT an immediate threat or death sentence for your fish. There is always time to "yank and treat" if it comes to that. Keep your water params good. As long as the fish is swimming and eating normally, it stands a good chance of fighting it off.

Of course other opinions will soon follow, I'm sure.

Good luck.

The over the counter Ich medications are useless. Don't waste your money. Just keep your water params pristine and as long as everyone else is healthy and eating you should be ok.

unless u gonna take the fish out and QT it and use hard meds like cooper it will not work in DT. dont waste ur money in med for reef tanks. feed it lot more and keep ur water parameters good and feed garlic in ur food to it. hope for best.

That is not even close to being correct. Cleaner shrimps do not consume cryptocaryon irritans and UV sterilizers will not remove it from your tank.

It may help but will probably not solve the problem as cryptocaryon irritans are deeply embedded.
