So how's the DT coming along? Did you solve your algae problem?

How are both those skimmers working? Is it pulling what you thought they would or do you not have enough bio-load yet? Would love to see a full tank shot.

Sucks that I used to live very close to some of these big tanks, but wasn't into reefs back then.

Tom must be VERY busy as we haven't heard from him in weeks. Probably enjoying some of that spare time he has listed in his sig.

What type of PVC glue did Tom use? I dont see any runs. Guess I shouldnt expect to since everything else on the tank is perfect.

I've always used clear primer and pvc glue just apply liberally and give a 1/4 turn and you will never have to worry about runs

Nice work Tom!

I built some stuff from the expanded PVC sheet and no glue I tried would stick the stuff together. I ended up using a pocket hole jig and stainless screws (all dry stuff like skimmer stands, etc).

What did you use?
Thanks

Hey everyone! First of all, please let me extend a

Big Apology !!!!

for having been absent for the last couple of months. I've had my reasons but, being they were of a personal nature, I won't burden you all. Suffice it to say that everything's been fairly well straightened out and I intend to get back into the game.

My tank has been scooting along since I set it up. I haven't really been able to put much of an effort into it. In early May I was given a few SPS corals by a friend. I also purchased one or two just to see what might happen. As I mentioned, at the beginning of my thread, my experience in the past (in Europe) had all been with Softies, so I was very anxious to see just how it would go. The current status is the corals, although growing and exhibiting no tendency toward STN, RTN, or dying, are very pale in color. I have a feeling that they may be suffering from too much light and too little food, but I'll go into that later. First, I'd like to get back up to date with the thread, in general ....
