Bwhit1406's 90 gallon Rimless SPS Reef

My last tank went well, and like every tank there was things I liked and disliked about it. I broke down the 150 before we moved into our new house with the thought of going bigger. But as fate would have it a smaller tank came available at the perfect time which fits the space well and saved me a ton of money. The Tank is a custom miracles 90 gallon rimless. The previous owner took excellent care of it and even got tank of the month before breaking it down. It has been a month since we have moved into our new house and its time to get this thing going.
The plan is to use a similar lighting setup as 150. 250 DE halide 14K Phoenix, 2 Kessill Tuna Blue 360's, 2 ATI aqua blue T5's. 2 part on dosers and a ReefOct SRO 5000. I grew SPS like crazy in the old tank. I have acro colonies being held for me so I won't be starting from frags.
First order of business is to tile the area where the tank will be. I have included a picture where I used a cardboard box to figure out how I wanted the tank to sit.

Nice! Looks promising!

What are the dimensions of the tank?

Had a little time to play around with the first step in the process. Laid out the tile and cut the carpet. I hope to get the tile set this week, but this is the look i am going for. Tile matches other downstairs tile.

Me too lol. Small children and other house projects are slowing me down but I plan to have some progress this weekend.

Something is always getting in the way. It's just how you find time to balance which is the key. But don't rush anything because the last thing anyone wants to do is start fresh because they didn't wait.

I took down my previous tank for I want to say for six months and it was very boring. Just don't rush it or you could regret it.

What is your strategy to get the build done? What I more mean is what is the next step that you are going to start on? I have looked through your previous tank threads and have seen that you don't have issues keeping tanks and they look good when you have them. I now also see why you miss having a running tank because your 150 Gallon looked amazing before you tore it down.

Step 1 is the tile
Step 2 is to modify tank plumbing a little
Step 3 is to build canopy
Step 4 mount equipment
Step 5 plumb lines from tank location to garage
Step 6 set stand and tank in place
Step 7 aquascape
Step 8 fill and then cycle
Step 9 retrieve my livestock

I have to say I like the plan and seems like you know exactly what needs to happen for your build to get done.

What is your time schedule that you think you will end up being on with getting it done?

Going to try and finish as much as I can this weekend. Got family coming in a month so I want it to be at least running by then.

It always is nice to have family in town to look at the tank. From what I have found they don't seem impressed when it is just setup with no water.

I learned that people tend to like the things in your tank that I care the least about. That kenya tree and snail are amazing, lol
