My aquascape
Hello,
Can someone give me some advice for this aquascape (don't bother the light it isn't the light I'm going to use for the tank and the stones are going to be glued together) The stones in the front are leftovers: |

Looks really good. If it were mine I would remove the two flat rocks on the bottom. It would look more natural.

You could glue the two flat ones atop either pile and create another shelf /overhang

Love the scape. Agree that it would be better without the two flat stones (one on the front left and one in the beginning of the canal) or maybe move them elsewhere in the tank.

I really like this also. Once you have sand in there(if you are in fact doing that), your eye will get drawn right to that canal, which looks great.
IMO, if you take that flat triangular piece that is to the left in the pic and move it to the bottom front of that structure on the right side with one of the points coming toward the front of the tank...I think that would give you even more depth and create more of a sloping effect on the right side. Maybe put the leftover rock in your sump. Nice work. I'll be doing this soon also.

Nice aquascapers. I like the canyon in the middle and the projecting shelves on the top on the left. I find the large rock on the lower right to be a little off. Maybe you could move it farther back and the small rocks forward into its place. But hey, it is your aquascapers. If you like it, keep it the way it is.

Thanks , there will be a sandbed and the background will be painted black or dark blue (what colour is the best?)
This is the scape without leftovers (they are all in the sump) the little rock in the front is for an anemone so he can't get to my other corals , it will also be a lot better with the right light ( I am waiting for a pcb) The tank is 100cm x 100cm x 50cm h: |

Let's just hope that the anemone chooses to use that little rock. They have a mind of their own and will go where they want which is often not where you want

Yeah without the extras that's an extraordinary scape. Well done.

Thanks , I've read that anemones don't like to walk over a sandbed, so if I place him on that rock and there is a sandbed, he doesn't go to the other rocks

This is an excellent scape, one of the nicest natural scapes I've seen on RC, IMO. My tank has very similar dimensions to yours and I now have to resist the urge to copy your scape

I love that canal too, it is an awesome idea. My worry however is that if your anemone does indeed make that rock his home he will soon block your veiw of that awesome canal and ruin your best feature.

I can always place the anemone rock somewhere else because It isn't going to be attached to the bottom

I wish I knew how to aquascape like that. My tank always looks like I just took some rock and stacked it. Good job on your tank! Very nice rock work.

Why glue them together? They don't look like they are perched precariously. Most of those look interlocked and flat. One day you're going to have to remove a fish or pest and it will be tough if the rocks are glued together. i do like how it looks though.

I will glue them because it's not stable at all right now. And I don't want it to collapse.

I'm thinking to change the right side because I also have a vieuw from the right , the other 2 sides are against the wall.
Any tips for the right side? |
