Thanks for the reply! I love chromis and want a shoal of them in a tank but it hasn't worked out for me. I started with 13 in my 125 and over the course of a year they whittled their numbers down to a pair. When I upgrade to a bigger tank one day I will try a large group over 20. Thanks for the tip.

What is the red and pink looking LPS coral? I love the color and would like to have something like it in my tank.

Name that coral...
Can you tell me what the orange and pink/red looking corals are on the left. They look great and I'd like to get that same coral for my tank

Beautiful tank!
Regarding the anemone, does it generally stay put where it is? I always cringe when I see anmenonies next to huge SPS colonies, since just a little walking over can kill the sps. Do you have some way of keeping it in place, or does it just stay there on its own? |

Zoas are the bane of my existance, but the two colonies I have now are hardy and colorful. For me zoas have been much harder than SPS. I have purchased Tubs Blues numerous times and they died everytime where others had easy success. My latest colony started to die out in my display so I moved it to my frag system where it continued to decline. Then I moved it to an area of erractic intermittent flow with low light from T5 lamps and it is finally growing. Long story short . . . zoas can be REALLY hard to grow! Quote:
My anemone draws the most questions over and over by far. I have had it for nearly a decade and after the first month it never moved again nor have any of the four clones that it created ever moved. Don't know if it's the anemone or the conditions. Joe |

JP, do you know the difference in the lighting between your tank which is a bit more blue in the picture and the Steve Weast tank pic you posted which is a bit more white?

Like posted above, thank you for taking the time and answering my question as well. I'm running radiums and UVL actinics as well.

Steve uses a mix of Radiums and 10000k Hamiltons (or at least he did several years back when the photos were take). For that exact reason I have chosen to switch out to 4 Aquasun (10000K) VHOs instead of 2 Super Actinics and 2 Aquasuns previously. Thanks everyone! Steve's lights Photos of the day . . . |

Joe, are those ricordea in the lower left? If so, do they get a fair amount of flow?
