A marvelous tank!! Looks like you took a chuck of a reef and put it into your living room!

Well done, I have to say you know what you are doing. Sorry if I missed this in the article but have a couple of questions. Do you run filter sox and what kind of salt? Thanks for your time.

Truly inspiration.
Why do we have to rank tanks in the first place?
I don't think TOTM should be a statement about who has the "nicest" or best recreation of a natural reef. Every aquarist has unique strong-points. Shouldn't it be more about sharing these instead of a mere competition?

I agree, the word that came to mind was INSPIRATIONAL!

Bravo Luc.

Keep sharing and maybe one day you will be the TOTM

I don't think chingchai was ranking any tank as best or better. I was the one who said that this tank was better, and then if you read the whole thread I said I felt it wasn't my place to say who's is better.

Wow... wow... wow.

I LOVED the videos (especially the feeding).

It's crazy that what you consider frags seem to be small colonies to me Some of those so-called frags in your frag tanks would take up some major real estate in my current tank.

The tank is beautiful! Congrats!

I wasn't sure I read this right, but is your fish and coral quarantine systems also part of the total water volume of the system.
What steps have you taken in addressing disease out breaks for both the fish and corals? With the amount of live stock you have, I am sure you have seen it all by now.
Thank you again for answering any questions, I'm sure your a very busy person!

Fantatic Tank, a real marvel. The only thing I found that I would change is the 5 times a day feeding. I feed my feed my fish three times a week and they are fat and healthy, I think 5 times a day is going to add a lot more ditrious to the Tank and eventualy lead to problems. Just a suggestion.

A little detritus is going to have a negligible impact on such a large, well maintained and clearly thriving system. Plenty of successful aquarists feed their fish multiple times a day (upwards of 8 times a day even). Just because feeding less is working well for you doesn't mean that everyone else should follow suit.

Inspiration is what we all need.
Thank you RC for keeping this TOTM article alive.

We don't have to compete with anybody.
Just do the best that we can.

Agreed... plus, if you have sufficient flow and CUC, the problem posed will never come to fruition.

I think we should create an environment as close to their natural environment as possible (which the TOTM winner seems to have done)... and I can assure you that although our fish are are picking food from our LR all day, in most cases additional feedings everyday will help and not hurt our systems. But having said that, each person's system is different (along with the type of fish kept in the system), so each system may require more/less frequent feedings.

Paul, new fish always stays for about two months in the cellar,it is in the tank whitch is prepared too shut down from the system if that is necessary,on this tank is UV.
New corals always have a dip into Isobetadine, since short i use Coral RX.
