Looks very nice. Doesn't look nano though, how big is it? I see a tang, so would assume its a larger tank.

It's a baby tang. It's a 20 g long. Putting the tang in a bigger tank soon. Working on a 55 fowlr

I got the tang bc of my daughter wanting "Dori". She doesn't understand that they need room to swim n what not but I couldn't tell her no.

I still have some room on that left side by the toadstool. Any suggestions? It's a soft tank and there's low flow over there

i know, kids wanting fish can be convincing. but really, in this hobby, you are trying to do what is best for the fish. blue tangs (dori) can grow to be over a foot long and need a 240 gallon 8' tank to be happy. 180 gallons is stretching it. i hope you have something bigger for it in the future...

My kids 9 and 6 have wanted a lot of things for our tank, Dori included. If it's not something I also want or not a good fit, I just tell them no. Sometimes I explain why, other times I just leave it at no.

Btw, nice tank. I would consider it more an LPS tank though.

My lfs said I could always come back n trade it in or get credit for it. I guarantee it would help my bio load out also cuz she does eat a lot and poops a lot. I will wait a tad longer then trade her for a nice coral.

I've got another question for u guys also. This piece with mushrooms, sponges, and those "pest anemones...... Do you think this is far enough away from my LR so the lil pest anemone doesn't spread to it?

I've had one aptasia in the tank for months. And just let it be. And in the last month it spread to where there are now a half dozen or so. They spread to rocks anywhere.

Nice tank! How long has it been up? Definitely take care of the aptasia, they spread quickly.

Get the shrimp they mention, they will spread somehow even if it is not touching believe me, tank looks amazing, I would just change the back to black, but that's just me, had blue before and hated it

My lfs has a ton of aptasia. When I bought my peppermint shrimp they put a rock covered in aptasia one in their shrimp tank and they devoured it. Ever since then I'm a big believer in peppermint shrimp.
