LED recommendations for DIY moonlight

Hello.
I've been looking for the right LED for a moonlight but can't seem to find one that is both bright and has a wide viewing angle.

>1000mcd and 60 degrees or more would be nice.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks.

Try this company. I've purchased from them to build SCUBA lights. You can also buy LEDS with viewing angles from 8 deg. up to 360 deg. As for brightness, high flux 3 and 5 watt LEDs are common now and that's BRIGHT for an LED. You may also want to consider LED strip lights. They also come in various "colors" including 460 and 470 nm. White is available in 8,000k also.

yeah - simple. plug it in and hit the reset button on the next full moon. as for technical stuff he explains it on the site. I've been using it for a few years now - LOVE IT. I used his DIY lights before that and he has/sells the wide angle lights mwcf was looking for too!

They run 24/7. I have an Aqua Controller II, but I let these run all the time...

Thanks for the link RBachman.
I like that selection. Digikey just didn't have what I'm looking for.

As for the hi-jack, um I mean, links to thelebos (just kidding scylam). Emulating the lunar cycle is very easy.
I'm worried about their patent application though. If they get away with patenting a timer .... maybe I should see about patenting the 24hour clock. Or maybe calendars...
