48"x48"x24" lighting suggestions mixed with sps.
What would guys recommend these days for lighting options on a 4ft cube tank 24"inch tall. I been going back and forth and can't come up with a solution I like. So want to hear what others think.

If I were you, I use ATI 2 x 48”(8bulb) or 6 Radion.

Hey! I am researching lighting options for a very similar tank. Same footprint, but only 18" deep.
I am currently looking at 2 Kessil A700's, 18" off the surface. I'll follow along w your thread too to see what other suggestions we see. For me, I'm leaning toward LED because I would like to keep the space above the tank more open and some of the higher end LED fixtures look sleek and slim hanging up there. |

T5HO are powerful, yet costly in replacement and power consumption. LED would be the way to go and along those same lines from my suggestions to "natanitelite" here are a few fixtures to consider:
Kessil A360WE would need four as they are rated for 24"x24". Radion XR15w G4 Pro also would need four as they are rated for 24"x"24 max. Maxspect Razor X 200w you would need two, they cover 48"x22".

You said with SPS, is this going to be a mixed reef with SPS or a Acro dominated SPS reef?
Do you need to hang everything or will you have a hood / canopy? How do you plan on aquascaping? LED only? hybrid? willing to use Halide and the possibility of needing a chiller? What are you willing to spend to light it and yearly for bulb/fixture replacement? This might help people give answers better suited to your specific situation |

Two 250 watt MH with large reflectors. That will cover it, make the tank look awesome and give you great coral growth.
