Gorgeous reef.
I'm sure you try a lot of setting with your Maxspect Razor. What is your setting that you use, because i have 2 razor 120W on my 90 gallons with dominated SPS and im not sure what is the ideal setting to use. Some use the max setting for the chanel A to 60% and others go to 85%. |

Hi Peder
Are you still dosing Zeo and Prodibio or have you switched to other products. If so are you dosing the whole line ? Otherwise which ones have you found beneficial. Thanks |

Hi Allain, Sorry for my late reply - but Im not online here everyday. Well the Razors are maybe too strong in regards of PAR. I have my 6 razors mounted on a platform, so i can raise og lower it - espicially when i get new corals. U have to take a lot of care here, because Razor/ or other LED can easy burn yr corals. Im a bit lazy, so i dont program anything. I use P2 for 4 lamps, Presetvalue P1 for the 2 center lamps - thats is working for me, and my SPS So, in basic my Razor go from 0-100%-1% daily. Hope this helps U Peder

Hello Ksed, Well, I have tried most ot the snakeoil product out there..... I started the tank as a 100% ZEO - and it did work, but it was like 'living on the edge' First u use chemicals to clean water from everything, and thereafter KZ told u to buy certain products/Nutrients to keep yr SPS alive... and with to pale color.... Today, I have stopped chasing numbers. And I actually dose N to raise the No3 leved and to add more nutrition for the corals - and the P is goings down too because og this new level of No3 in my tank. I now use Sangokai Nutrient elements HED for SPS, and now and then i use Sponge Power from KZ Not to much, give Cyano if OD) What i like about sangokai's productline, is that it have label, were we can see whats inside(cant do that with KZ) Furthermore I do like to add Biomate from KZ - its supposed to be a bacteria, that only eats P, and not N - but so far I use it and like it.(so does my litle reef :-) ) Right now i dont dose prodibio bafcteria - since i want to learn the effect on my corals with this 'raised' nutrient level. have a nice weekend :-) peder

When u say pointers - im guessing u mean 'lessons learned' in my experience from full Zeo method ? To be honest I love parts of the Zeo productline - but I would never go back to 100% ZEO. In my opinion its keeping yr tank on 'just barely' enough to survive. I prefer to keep my water as close to actual reef parameters. the exceptions to that rule is with Kh and No3, where i prefer to keep it a litle higher than in nature. My KH is arround 7-8. Plz be aware that its pretty low compared to what randy would say. on the other hand its pretty high compared to natural reef parameters, and high compared to Zeovit guidelines, which prefers 6,5. The reason I prefer 7-8 i some kind of safetynet..... About Nutrients/No3 I prefer to acually being able to measure arround 2-5 ppm, because i can see increased coloration in SPS and LPS this way. Plz note, that my P is very very low - so i dont have algaeproblems. I keep my values this way with good feeding, and addidtion of Sangokais Nutrient High energy demand product. I always have the following KZ products at my home: Zeobak, Zeozym, SpongePower,AAHC aminoacid, KZ aefw exit, KZ BioMate I use them when i can 'see' that my tank needs it. take care of Zeostart, AAHC and Spongepower -they truely work, but if U dont have true ULNS U will get Zeoalgae or Cyano outbreak. Furthermore, I think that going full ZEO is too expensive, and take away too much of the good stuff from our tanks.... Last, always keep in mind the balance of N and P in yr tank - remember red field ratio. Hope this helps U Peder

Hi Ksed
If we dont talk about all "the normal" stuff flow, waterchanges export of N and P, Then I would say 3-4 different things. 1)balance yr N and P, and dont use vodka or other carbon sources - it will just get worse. Have a litle high N(2-5) and take P down this way. Maybe u need help from Rowaphos or Seaklear too. P is the bad guy here - but dont use too much - no P is bad too.... 2) use KZ Biomate to "eat" detritus and P 3) kz new cyano clean(havent tried myself) 4) last and final way out is Boyds Chemiclean. It works, and its safe for corals, but I prefer the above mentioned Hope this helps u Refgards, Peder

Great images! A full tank shot would help put all the individual shots into perspective.
