changing out the stock pump on bC14

Has anybody changed the stock pump in the BC-14 to the MJ-900 if so, because its faster does it suck the sump dry?
do you need to cut out additional area on chamber 1 drip wall?

Just fill with more water as the intake will be higher up on mj900.Also i did cut like you said to help water move better there.
