Dwarf angels
I currently run an 8’ 240 SPS Reef that I recently added a golden angel to. Beautiful fish even though it rarely gives me a chance to view it. I’m thinking of adding a multibar angel to the mix. I’m curious what people feel about adding another dwarf angel to the mix? Can 2 dwarf angels live in peace or is war fare in the future if I add another angel?

You should be fine, there may be the occasional chasing that happens, but nothing too bad in a 240. Multibars are IMO the hardest fish to keep, I’ve had mine for 4 months and he has never eaten anything I have put into the tank including live foods, he has sustained his weight up to now by eating whatever is living in and around my rock work. If your tank is fairly new under 2 years old, I would advise waiting. If your tank is mature then go for it.
I have a 220 gallon SPS tank with a Multibar and a flame angel pair with no problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The tank is well established with sps and over 2-1/2 years old. I’m not fearful of the maturity issues as I am with stress between the 2 angels. The golden angel is extremely shy to begin with, only get glimpses during feeding time. Otherwise almost never seen. If I add a second angel I don’t want to jeopardize either species.

The Multibar is really shy too. I think you’d be fine.

Appreciate the feedback and experience recommendations. Lovely fish but don’t want to make too big of a risk for either fish.

The tank is large enough. How long have you kept the golden?
I would establish the golden first. Let it grow a bit before adding another dwarf. |

Goldens are very reclusive. It's a shame because they're beautiful fish.
Multibars are not as shy, but can be difficult to feed. They need peaceful tank mates to feel comfortable. I think both angels should be fine together. Both species are fairly peaceful for dwarf angels.

I received my pair of Goldens from DD in 2015. Lost one last year so I moved the loner to my 180 at home. I have since added a pair of Flame Angels with no issues. I love goldens but they hide a bunch. In my office tank they were very reef safe but were fed 4 times daily. Attachments of old pictures

Yeah I agree they are very shy. I guess my question is if I did add a multibar if it would disturb the golden? I realize both are cryptic in nature but I didn’t want to chance the MB if it would go off and terrorize the golden.
