Can i modify this reactor for outside my tank?
I have a Zeovit reactor that i got for free, but it probably is not going to sit in the skimmer section with the skimmer. So can i modify this easily to sit outside the stand right by the return section? Here is a pic of what i am working with.

I was thinking maybe i could sit it on a stand and then modify the plumbing so i can put the pump and return back in the return section of my sump.

You sure could..
I'd be a bit concerned about the secureness of the lid though.. Seems just like an oring seal with no screws/clamps to hold it down in case the water is pumped in faster than the outlet can handle... Find a way to clamp that down/seal it and good to go..
