Help with Jebao RW8

The ceramic sleve in the back of the prop is locked to the prop.

I've kept it in vinegar for a few days, even tried a stronger acid but it's still locked up. PB blaster and tapping on it hasn't worked either.

Is the prop and sleve available anywhere?.

My other wp-25 that I've had for about a year needs a push start of the prop to run and won't run on any pulse modes without stopping.

I've had the RW8 for about 4 months and both are cleaned somewhat regularly.

On another note, I've had an MP10 going on three years. I did have a problem that Vortech took care of but has been running fine since. With the lower cost of Vortech pumps now and everyone dumping their old non quiet drives, I'm thinking of just getting a used mp10....unless I can get the rw8 fixed.

thanks,
Albert

My RW-8 does the same thing and requires vinegar bath every 3 months to prevent the freeze. I used two pair of pliers with some rubber tubing to protect the shaft/bearing from the plier jaws. Very gently started working the bearing until I got the slightest rotation using straight vinegar to lube. It freed up.

Thanks Jimbo, I will give that a try. In the meantime I left a message with Fish Street to see if they sell the prop and sleve.

I got the sleve out. I did try the pliers before but I guess I was too careful. Thanks Jimbo, I put a little more force and it slowly came out. Those ceramic shafts are not as brittle as I thought. Pump is running 50% on W1, so far so good.
