Do pods live on the glass?

Loads of moving white creatures on the glass, I'm assuming they are pods of some sort? I thought they lived on the rocks not all on the glass.

IMO best time to evaluate your pod population is at night by checking your glass

Yes pods and various other creatures can be seen living on/moving around all surfaces of a tank including the front glass..

Yes.

Copepods, specifically, are the tiny ones on the glass.

Yes, the early stages of them are nearly microscopic, and they eat the algae on the glass...

Many of them craw on surface to eat algae, bothe glass and rock (and sand). They come out at night so they have less chance of getting eaten. Many also swimming around. Look at a low water movement corners of your tank at night. Most reef tank would have full of pods and Mysis swimming around at night. Some extremely tiny.
